Why the Palestinian Issue Matters ?

Palestinians are orphans in this world. Despite the casual sympathy from the few who value human rights, real support is made difficult due to state and institutional oppression against those willing to take a stand. Yet, I believe this is the crisis of our time. I know the Palestinians are few in number and are poor people, but I will lay out my argument for why we should all unite to bring justice to this cause.

1. Zionist Power
The Zionist power over our governments, for example, the Western political class and the justified reaction to its hegemony is the main reason behind the current sympathy in the West for Palestinians. Meanwhile, sympathy in the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia stems from those countries' history of colonization and their struggle for independence. This view unites all people in the feeling that they have no sovereignty or power over their political systems. For example, here in North America, no one wants our government to be a participant in genocide, but no matter the political party in power, our wishes are not respected. Furthermore, we are targeted if we express our opposition to the direction of our government.

2. The Effect of Zionist Actions on the Jewish Religion
Conflating the actions of the modern state of Israel and its political system, Zionism, with the Jewish people and the religion at large is a dangerous and wrong view that is, sadly, promoted and even being pushed to be enshrined in law.

Why is this a bad idea?

  • It allows people who are truly antisemitic to tie Jewish people to the actions of a foreign country, specifically pointing to the influence of the Zionist movement on our Western countries.
  • Zionism has nothing to do with Jewishness; indeed, it is a 17th-century Christian idea.
  • Zionism justifies colonialism in the levant.
  • If we say that a Jewish person must be a Zionist, we imply that they have no loyalty to their respective countries.
  • The hijacking of the Jewish religion: Zionist thinking is a fascistic ideology that sees Zionists as a superior people and gives them the right to do whatever is necessary to achieve their ever-enlarging state, while the Jewish religion is a religion that believes in one God, justice, and the dignity of humanity.

3. Who Are the Palestinians?
The ancestors of modern Palestinians are considered to be the descendants of the same ancient Levantine population from which the ancient Jewish people (the Israelites) emerged. Scientific evidence, including genetic and archaeological studies, suggests a high degree of genetic continuity in the region. This means that the ancient inhabitants of the Levant were not displaced or replaced by later groups. Instead, Palestinians and other levant groups are the descendant of those ancient people. Therefore, the relationship is one of shared common ancestry from the same ancient indigenous population of the Levant.

Palestinians, among other Levantine groups, were found to derive 81–87% of their ancestry from Bronze Age Levantines, relating to Canaanites, as well as the impact of the Kura–Araxes culture from before 2400 BCE ,4,400 years before present, 8–12% from an East African source; and 5–10% from Bronze Age Europeans.

Technofeudalism a book that you must read.

In his book, Technofeudalism: What Killed Capitalism, Yanis Varoufakis argues that the world has transitioned from capitalism to a new economic system he terms "techno-feudalism," driven by the rise of Big Tech. He contends that the 2008 financial crisis, which saw central banks inject massive amounts of money into the economy, funneled capital into tech companies rather than productive industries. This enabled tech giants to build "cloud fiefdoms" (platforms like Amazon and Meta), which have replaced the traditional marketplace and allow them to extract "cloud rent" from businesses and users. This is a fundamental shift from the capitalist model, where profit is derived from competitive markets, to a new system based on rent extraction from monopolistic platforms.

Varoufakis redefines the class structure in this new system. The "cloudalists" are the new feudal lords who own and control the digital infrastructure. Traditional capitalists are relegated to "vassal capitalists," who must pay rent to the cloudalists to access their platforms and reach consumers. The rest of us are "cloud serfs," providing free labor by generating data with every click and scroll, which is then harvested and monetized by the cloudalists. The book argues that this new system is more exploitative than capitalism because it is based on behavioral modification and rent, not on the production of goods and services. Varoufakis suggests that to regain control, humanity must organize a "cloud rebellion" to collectively own and control this new form of capital

Shifting to a lighter topic, let us talk about Linux.

Debian13 was released on August 9th 2025, and it is a solid Distro, I have install it on two laptops and so far I am very pleased. Debian13 like all the Debian versions before is solid and well tuned operating system. running Debian was a strange experience for me. for example,I ran Debian12 for almost two years and I can not recall running any operating system that stable, coming from windows I expected to have a system freeze, blue screen, glitch of the software. even other Linux distributions have mild glitches but not Debian. the video attached show a quick look at Debian13.
